Beaches on the Big Island of Hawaii
Richardson's Ocean Park in Hilo - a sandy beach with lots of aloha. Great local scene, excellent snorkeling and a good surf break (Northeast swell) are some of the best parts of this park.
Ancient ali'i fishing ponds and amazing scenery are just a few of the reasons why locals and tourists keep recommending this spot in beautiful Keaukaha at the end of Kalaniana'ole Street. About 6 miles East of Ken's Panacake House.

Kehena Beach in Puna - Burning man's got nothing on this spot. High energy and an anything-goes attitude make this once again, among the best beaches in the world. Some might call this a topless beach but it seems more like a topless beach lab. Multiple experiments in beach fun are taking place all around and your senses can get away with just about anything.
Kehena, a topless beach? For sure. Harmless?
Absolutely. Inspiring? Positivly. Note: the old stone staircase
leading down to kehena beach is gone. You'll have
to use the cliff-side trail for access.
